Christmas cards are one of my favorite things about the holiday season! I love checking the mailbox each day and displaying all the beautiful cards that our friends and family send us. The only thing that might be better than receiving cards is sending them out! For our 2012 cards, I designed them myself and had them letterpress printed. I had every intention of doing the same this year, but somehow the fall flew by and it was December before I knew it!

When I heard that Minted had a line of foil pressed cards, I was so excited! I pretty much drool over anything that’s letterpressed or gold, so gold foil pressed cards are right up my alley! After spending way more time that I should have looking at each and every card option, I picked Merry Scriptmas by Rebecca Turner.

The picture that we used for the front of our cards was from our one year anniversary photo shoot my sister, Laura of Laura Murray Photography, took.

The picture that we used on the back is actually a custom watercolor portrait by Mandy Cave Watercolor. Since the first year anniversary gift is paper, we thought this portrait was the perfect was to commemorate our first year as husband and wife. I’m seriously in love with it – Mandy did an amazing job!

I’m so pleased with how our cards turned out this year that I wanted to share them to wish you all a happy holiday from our family to yours.
