When I have kiddos, I want to do a holiday tradition where the kids (and, obviously, me and my husband) get to open a gift on Christmas Eve where everyone gets new Christmas pajamas and a book. Actually, now that I think about it, why wait until I have kids? I should probably try to get this tradition started this year. Anyways, I drafted up some PJ pants the other day and and whipped these cozy holiday jams up in about an hour.
I had boatloads of intentions to make this a free PDF pattern, but my sewing time management skills have been less than stellar lately. And, before I commit to spending a couple days in Adobe Illustrator, I should probably figure out if anyone would even be interested. So, if you are, lemme know! 😉
I love soft PJs so Art Gallery Fabrics voile is perfect for these pants. I used the Wafting Plaid Marked in voile from the DARE fabric line for the main fabric and I used a coordinating solid in Fresh Water for the cuff. I prewashed my fabric, as I usually do for garments, and I can already tell it’s just going to get softer with each wash. These jammies are dreamy, literally!
Art Gallery Fabrics has generously offered to give one Sewbon reader a fat quarter bundle of DARE fabric! Feeling lucky? Enter using the widget below or with this direct link and make sure to check out the DARE lookbook for tons of gorgeous inspiration!
