- Accent fabric – I used Kaffe Fassett Shot Cotton in Cobalt
- HeatnBond Fusible Fleece
- General sewing supplies
Instructions
To make four coasters, cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the main fabric, cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the accent fabric, and cut four 5 inch x 5 inch squares out of the HeatnBond Fusible Fleece.
Attach a fusible fleece square to the wrong side of a main fabric square.
Pin the main fabric piece and the accent fabric piece right sides together and stitch around the edges of the square with a 5/8 inch seam allowance, leaving a 2 inch hole.
Clip the corners.
Turn the coaster right side out through the 2 inch hole and use a chopstick to push the corners out.
Tuck the edges from the 2 inch hole in and press the coaster.
Top stitch with a ¼ inch seam allowance around the coaster and press one last time.
Repeat for the remaining 3 coasters.
